GERMANY – Häfele, the world's leading provider of furniture fittings technology, lighting and electronic locking systems, has big plans for the anniversary year: After the opening of the fourth high-bay warehouse at the logistics center in Nagold, an investment project of around EUR 20 million, construction of the new dynamic center will begin in 2023.

In this context, a high double-digit million amount is being invested. The core ideas of the building complex in Nagold, which has a striking view over the Black Forest, are openness and cooperation. The building should be open to visitors on the viewing platform, open to employees from other companies with co-working and catering options, and open to events organized by other companies. When it comes to "collaboration", Häfele thinks of its partners, but also of the exchange with start-ups or research institutions.

With the first major challenge on the threshold of the second century, dealing with the cyber-attack at the beginning of February 2023, Häfele is proving its efficiency. In just a few weeks after shutting down all systems worldwide, the company was able to rebuild its ability to deliver and resume almost full business activity. In addition, Häfele has invested heavily in building a completely new IT security architecture.

Various activities related to the 100th anniversary are planned throughout the year. The interzum in May marks the start of the celebrations. The big anniversary weekend at the headquarters follows in the summer: there will be celebrations in Nagold from July 21st to 23rd.
