USA - The Home Depot, the world's largest home improvement retailer, reported fourth quarter and fiscal 2022 results.
Sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022 were USD 35.8 billion, an increase of USD 112 million, or 0.3 percent from the fourth quarter of fiscal 2021. Comparable sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022 decreased 0.3 percent, and comparable sales in the U.S. decreased 0.3 percent.
Sales for fiscal 2022 were USD 157.4 billion, an increase of USD 6.2 billion, or 4.1 percent, from fiscal 2021. Comparable sales for fiscal 2022 increased 3.1 percent, and comparable sales in the U.S. increased 2.9 percent.
Net earnings for fiscal 2022 were USD 17.1 billion, compared with net earnings of USD 16.4 billion, in fiscal 2021.
The Company expects that in fiscal 2023 sales growth and comparable sales growth to be approximately flat compared to fiscal 2022.
At the end of the fourth quarter, the company operated a total of 2,322 retail stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, 10 Canadian provinces and Mexico.
