COLOMBIA - Home Sentry has opened its 14th store in Colombia, the seventh in Bogota, and the third this year.
Situated in the Plaza Central shopping center in Bogota, the store represents a nearly USD 2 million investment, covering 1,500 square meters. It is expected to generate 50 direct jobs and over 120 indirect jobs, contributing to economic growth in the city.
This year, Home Sentry has experienced significant growth with store openings in diferent formats across regions of the country. The company is introducing a new business model with the Sentry Select store in the Boca Grande shopping center in Cartagena, offering a selection of 4,500 innovative products in a 600-square-meter space.
In addition, a Home Sentry store has opened in the Santafé shopping center in Medellín, covering 1,200 square meters and featuring more than 16,000 home product references.
Lucio Bernal, Head of Retail, expressed excitement about the expansion and reiterated the company's commitment to providing high-quality products, an outstanding shopping experience, and contributing to job creation and economic balance in Colombia.
With 28 years in the Colombian market, Home Sentry originally emerged as an extension of the parent company Mecanelectro, evolving from a hardware store to self-service sales in 1994, gradually shifting focus to home improvement and decoration products.
