AUSTRIA - Blum and Van Hoecke, longstanding representatives in Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg, are poised to merge, marking a significant development in the industry.

Blum, the Austrian fittings manufacturer, will acquire Van Hoecke NV, Van Hoecke Nederland BV, and Halux NV, integrating them into its group, subject to regulatory approval. The primary objective is to ensure continuity for customers, maintaining the exceptional service quality they're accustomed to, while also securing the jobs of Van Hoecke's 360 employees who will seamlessly transition into the Blum Group.

This decision is rooted in over five decades of close collaboration between Van Hoecke and Blum, characterized by shared values and a strong sense of trust. Peter van Hoecke's commitment to ensuring the future of his company and the welfare of its employees prompted the proposal for full integration into the Blum Group. Recognizing the mutual benefits and synergies, both parties swiftly reached an agreement on the merger, which will safeguard Van Hoecke's operations in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium) and expand its market presence.

The merger aims to harness the strengths of both entities, combining Van Hoecke's expertise in service leadership and customized mass production with Blum's emphasis on innovation and product excellence. Peter Van Hoecke will continue to serve as Managing Director until his retirement, facilitating a seamless transition into the Blum Group, with full support from the Van Hoecke family. Despite the integration, Van Hoecke NV, Van Hoecke Nederland BV, and Halux NV will maintain their autonomy, ensuring uninterrupted service for customers and upholding the exceptional standards they've come to expect.
