Biesse Presents New Sustainability Report

ITALY - Biesse, international manufacturer of machines and integrated lines for materials processing, has released its new 2023 Sustainability Report, a comprehensive report highlighting the company's achievements in terms of economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Biesse has continued on the path it has taken towards environmental sustainability and this year has improved its environmental performance: it has been awarded ISO 14001:2015 certification for its environmental management system; In addition, work is constantly being done to improve the energy efficiency of the systems and electricity is purchased from renewable sources with proof of origin for Italian companies. In addition, the headquarters in Pesaro have been equipped with 16,500 square meters of photovoltaic panels, which have enabled 787 tons of CO2 to be avoided.

In the area of ​​materials management, Diamut, the company's brand for the manufacture of tools for the processing of glass, natural and artificial stone and ceramics, has defined a new cobalt-free binder used for all the products in the range. Biesse demonstrated the latest efforts in terms of sustainability in May at the Ligna with the presentation of "HFS", a new system for gluing edges with hydrogen as an energy source. Technological innovation and environmental friendliness merge into a successful unit.
